The
tournament will be held at Strawberry
Farms Golf Club. The par-71, 6,700 yard course is
set amid canyons and wetlands, the 18-hole course offers
picturesque vistas across the 35-acre reservoir, large
rolling greens surrounded by wildlife and natural vegetation
and scenic hills studded with granite boulders and natural
waterfalls. Developed by Doug DeCinces, former California
Angel third baseman, Strawberry Farms Golf Club is sure
to provide golfers with the finest golf experience in
Orange County.
Tournament Hotel:
For those traveling from out of town, we have secured
a special rate of $`119 at
the Crown
Plaza Irvine. Please call 949-863-1999 and use the
code "SFA Golf" to receive
the rate.
Reservations must be made by April 1, 2008 to
be guaranteed the reduced pricing.
The hotel is located adjacent to the Orange County Airport
and just a few miles north of the Golf Course. Complimentary
Shuttle service is available to and from the airport.
Shuttle service is also available to and from the course
for a nominal fee. In addition, Enterprise Rent-a-car
is located on site at the hotel for those who wish to
rent a vehicle there. Parking is $6.00/night for our guests.
Format:
The
tournament will be played in a “Shamble” format.
(NOT a SCRAMBLE....keep reading for details.....) All
players drive their own ball, everyone takes their second
stroke from the best drive, and then play continues individually
from that point. Handicaps will help even out the field.
All skill levels are welcome!
